Meet Our Pastors
Pastor Stoltzfus
Pastor Wendell was born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. His parents were Amish dairy farmers, but when Wendell was 9, the family sold their business to become missionaries to Germany. His parents would spend the next 25 years preaching and teaching the Gospel to the unsaved in that country. When Wendell reached college age, he returned to the United States, thereupon enrolling at Gordon College in Massachusetts as a mathematics major. Following college, he would return to missionary work, traveling to China to study Mandarin Chinese and teach English to the inhabitants there. It was during his work in China that he met his future wife, Priscilla, who was also engaged in missionary work there. The two actually had met and worked together many years earlier at a Bible church in Lancaster County. Upon returning from China, Wendell and Priscilla were married and, soon after, Wendell enrolled at Westminster Seminary, Philadelphia, graduating in the spring of 2000.
Wendell came to Covenant Church in 2004, after serving three years as a church planter in Pottstown, PA. Wendell and Priscilla have three children.
